The Christmas period is a perfect time to re-evaluate your life, consider where you are going in the coming year, and to make those New Year’s Resolutions to get you kick – started. Here are some tips:
- Have a think again about what success really means to you. Remember that career, money, lifestyle, health, friends and family all have a part to play, and your priorities do change as you get older and wiser!
- Your Kung Fu and Tai Chi training is very important for you, as a vehicle for self-improvement, as a way of keeping yourself fit and healthy, and as an antidote to the stress of day-to-day life.
- I recommend that you look at the coming year and use your next few gradings as the milestones for your improvement. They are easy to set as targets, and then you can consider how you will achieve your targets through more regular training, improved diet, less drinking, etc.
Remember that problems and barriers to success will always appear, and willpower doesn’t come in infinite amounts.
Use your Kung Fu training to develop tactics and strategies to overcome problems so that your resolutions don’t get dropped in the first few weeks of the year, as is the tradition!
And, in the time-honoured fashion, when you get knocked down, just get back up again, and keep fighting!
